As we have lower covid cases,  schools are re-opened and operating  five and a half-days. School invites 50% students for three days and other 50% for next three days. 97% of our girls are attending school regularly. we tried to convince them to continue school.

Every girl has a right to education!!

WHAT WE DO

Main areas of our focus

Scholarships

Our aim is to minimize the school drop-out rate and encourage girls to continue school until completion of the final exam of high school in the project area. If the students secure more than 60% they further can join the University and who achieves less mark than we encourage/support for vocational training

Medical help and prevention

We provide health coverage to our sponsor girls at govt. primary health care, Purbanchal college of medical science. If the case is referred to as the better hospital, we could consult either BPIKHS, Dharan, NOBEL, Koshi hospital, or in Birat Medical hospital in Biratnagar.

Hygiene education

By raising awareness, girls will be knowledgeable in their personal hygiene.

Teachers training

We make sure that the teachers use non-violence and child-centered methods of teaching.

This is our story

Civic Independence Development (CID-Nepal) is an NGO whose goal is to give an equal opportunity to girls to access school. The organization operates in Morang district, in a marginalized area of Nepal. Due to poverty, girls do discontinue school as they have to support their parents for extra income. They will most likely end up in early marriage.

By providing scholarships, hygiene kits, an appropriate environment to study and medical assistance, CID Nepal tries to build them a brighter future.
