Workshops with the parents of the sponsored girls

CID Nepal is conducting an annual workshop as an awareness campaign for women's health. 

A broad scope of topics is covered such as education and health.

We encourage/train parents/semi-parents to visit the school regularly, discuss with respective class teachers, sports teachers to follow up their girls' achievements and see where they can contribute to their girls' better futures. 

Also, we discuss issues such as the use of the contraceptive, regular visit to the health professional while pregnant, maintenance of hygiene, a balanced diet are then discussed.

Ultimately, a regular follow up with the women will lead to the drop down of an unwanted newborn child. Overall, the number of births will be reduced.
